The process of making an analog mixtape is something of a lost art these day. Today, anyone can create a playlist of easily-available songs without digging through piles of vinyl records, cassettes or CD's, worrying about time constraints, or painstakingly writing out the bands and songs featured on these cassette mixes on a J-card.
Just like the compilation cassettes and CD-R's of yore, the mixtapes on each of these episodes were painstakingly handcrafted just for you; yes, YOU! I hope you enjoy 'em!
Eech episode of the Afterglow Echoplex podcast is a virtual mixtape featuring back-to-back songs by independent artists you might not be privy to... yet. These episode's 60-minute mixtapes are produced in direct collaboration with the bands and musicians featured on the show.
